
David Brennan - Founder & Lead Tutor
David is a hugely experienced educator who has been in teaching for 24 years, working in London and in International Schools in Asia. His most recent School-based role was as the Head of Maths at a 3-form entry Independent Primary School in Central London. David set up DBE in 2019 and has successfully worked with individuals, small groups and exam classes to help children to achieve 11+ entrance requirements into Eton, Winchester, Radley, St Paul's Girls' School, King's College, Godolphin and Latymer, Hampton, Wycombe Abbey, Emanuel and Reed's School. A strong advocate of creating the best learning environment, David believes that there are numerous factors that need to be considered when teaching and that children learn best when they are enjoying the lessons and feel happy in their environment. David has successfully fostered an attitude in thousands of children, that having a positive mindset and accepting that mistakes are part of learning, helps to create the best conditions for progression. Rob Holmes Reed - KS2 English Tutor
Rob has been working in schools for 12 years in a variety of London primary settings including EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. He started his career at an Independent Prep School in Kew and before honing his skills as a Year 6 Class Teacher and Science Lead at an Outstanding Primary School in Chiswick. He has since worked at an International School in Qatar and a Primary School in Wimbledon, before taking up his current role at a groundbreaking outdoor education Primary school in South West London. Rob has tutored children across the age range, specialising in English and Verbal Reasoning, especially for 11+ requirements.

Kathryn Durkin - Senior English Tutor
With over 15 years teaching experience in Prep and Independent schools in London, as well as internationally in Japan and Russia, Kathryn specialises in English tutoring across the age range. Kathryn tailors her individual and group lessons to boost any area of English required. She also tutors to prepare students for 7+ and 11+ tests in English and Verbal Reasoning as well as GCSE English Literature and English Language.

Aimee Williams - KS2 Maths & English Tutor
